North Korea vs South Korea

My first blog will be focusing on North Korea vs South Korea. Not about their political beliefs, or their military strength, but about the height difference between people from North Korea and people from South Korea.

According to Professor Daniel Schwekendiek from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, North Korean men are on average 3 inches shorter than South Korean men. He studied the height of North Korean refugees and compared their height to their South Korean counter-parts.
North Korean and South Korean people share the same genes so the reason for the height difference is not in any way genetic; its is purely down to one thing. Health. According to Wikipedia, South Korea are ranked 51 in the world for calorie intake per day, while their northern neighbours are placed 155. The lack of food produced by North Korea directly impacts the population, there is not enough food so children are starving, those that are impacted by severe growth stunts.
